"Make Pakistan Polio Free" Awareness Walk At Faisalabad

Paradise and Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison organized a Polio Awareness Walk at Chak 73/RB Karianwala, Faisalabad before the final match of Second Annual Fatima-Shah Muhammad Memorial Hockey Tournament.  Theme of the tournament was “Make Pakistan Polio Free.” Children were the active participants, who were educated about the importance of polio eradication.

















 The participants were informed that all children less than five years of age should be administered polio drops at each National Immunization Day (NID) campaign – Each Child, Every Time. Polio badges, pencils and balloons with polio messages and biscuits were distributed among the children who waited patiently in queue for their turn. Rotarians Abdul Haleem, Iqbal Malik, Mubasher Butt, Waseem Aslam, Maqsood Ahmed, Arshed Shakir and Moazzam Sandhu participated in the Walk along with a large number of children from the surrounding villages. Past District Governor Shehzad Ahmed and Paradise Coordinator Naeem Aslam organized the Walk.  National PolioPlus Committee, Interloop, Promark and Shakeel Traders sponsored the Walk.
