Dosanja wins inaugural match of Polio Awareness Hockey Tournament

 The Second Annual “Fatima-Shah Muhammad Memorial Hockey Tournament” started yesterday at Chak No. 73/RB Karianwala, Faisalabad. Dosanja won the inaugural match against Mirzaywala with a margin of 3-0. The second match between 92 Kaluwan and Munianwala ended in a 1-1 draw.

 Theme of the tournament is “Make Pakistan Polio Free” and “End Polio Now.” Twenty two teams are participating in the tournament. The winning team will get cash prize of Rs 15,000 along with the trophy and the runners-up team will get cash prize of Rs 10,000 with the trophy. Special gifts will be presented to the participating teams.

Tournament has been organized by Paradise Hockey Team in collaboration with Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison and PROMARK. Paradise and Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison are non-profit organizations working in the areas of polio awareness, literacy, health, poverty alleviation and economic development.
